Wild Rose Devs is a small Alberta studio with six projects open across three divisions. Whoever joins next doesn't get handed a ticket queue — they get a line on the build manifest with their name against it, and the room to say when it isn't working.

We'd rather show you an empty list than invent a role to look bigger than we are. Right now the six things on the manifest are covered.

That changes the week a project moves from planning into development — and it usually changes fast. Open applications get read, kept, and answered when the work appears, which is how most of the people here got here.

What we look for

Four things, and none of them are a framework.

We don't screen on years of a particular library. Every one of these is something you either do or you don't, and it shows up in the first week.

You'll go stand in it

The problem lives in a kitchen at the dinner rush or a corral at six in the morning. If you'd rather infer it from a ticket, this is the wrong studio.

You finish

The manifest has two states and no hiding place between them. Getting something to done — properly, with the boring edges handled — is the entire job.

Range beats depth

Some weeks it's schema design, some weeks it's the client call, some weeks it's why the print file won't separate. A narrow specialist gets bored here.

You'll say the hard thing

A small team dies quietly when nobody wants to be the one who says the plan is wrong. Say it early, with a reason, and you'll be listened to.

02A conversationAn hour, about work you've actually done. You'll talk to the person you'd be working beside, not a screener.

03Real work, paidA small scoped job pulled off the manifest, at your rate. If we use it, you're paid for it whether or not you join.

04An answerAn offer with a number, or a no with the reason. Nobody gets left in a maybe for three weeks.

Two weeks end to end is the target. If we're slower than that, it's because something on the manifest caught fire — and we'll tell you that rather than go quiet.

A big-tech salary band. We'll tell you the number early instead of discovering it at the offer.
A benefits brochure. Ask directly and you'll get a straight answer about what exists today.
A large team to learn from by osmosis. You'll be figuring things out, often first.
Certainty. Four of six projects are still in planning, and we say so on the manifest.
